Easter

Jaxon's first Easter and Kenley's 7th passed with is spending time with our family and all our favorite people.

Good Friday was spent having a wonderful dinner with Grammy & Grampa. Kenley spent her evening at the cheer gym...are you surprised? She did wait and have dinner with her Grampa so he could congratulate her for achieving her Accelerated Reading award. Grammy spent two nights with us this week, which was really fun, because Kenley had half a day on Thursday and no school on Friday. I also enjoy spending time with Grammy and I'm still quite tired and I'm working more, still from home.

We spent Saturday at Lake Conroe boiling crawfish, fishing, and swimming. Blakely and Somer joined us, which is always a treat for Mommy & Kenley!

Sunday we went to church and then to Easter lunch at Debra & Jeff. Jaxon was a hit! He, however didn't really hunt eggs this year, maybe next year! He did find one egg on Nana!

Jax is here...

Jaxon David Benson was born March 31, 2014 at 9:07 am weighing 7lbs 15oz. 21 inches long. He was perfectly healthy and Kenley was thrilled!
We left the house at 6:00am for our scheduled C-Section with Kenley, Grammy & Grampa. Papa and Nana met us there. Somer (Tia Princess), Uncle Ray, and Uncle Daniel were there waiting to meet you first. Julie, Aunt Kendra & Uncle Mark, The Kellermans and The Schott family came to visit you on your first evening.
Our first impressions were that you very much resembled Kenley when she was born. Which means you look like a Benson. Although, since they didn't show you to me right away, Daddy told me that you looked like my Dad. Your feet are very big as are your hands.
At two weeks old your eating approximately 4-5oz. Every 3-4 hours, so I am assuming you're going to be a strapping young man! You're very handsome and I love you so very much. You have a different temperament than Kenley, but are overall a happy baby. You don't like to have your diaper changed, take a bath or change your clothes. Basically, I think you don't like to be cold. Tia Princess makes fun of us saying we have you "over blanketed"...but we think you like it!
You have already been to 3 restaurants, a book fair at Kenley's school, and cheer practice for Kenley! Oh, you also had to go to the mall today to buy a cheer banquet dress for your sister! You slept the entire time!
You enjoy riding in the car, but don't like stop lights.
You also celebrated Kenley's 7th birthday with your entire family! That was so special. You definitely completed our family. I'm absolutely totally in live with you and your sister! Your Dad is also in love! We know that the two of you will go so far and make us so proud!

Here is Kenley!
