End of Cheer, Arrival of Jax

Cheer season has ended...and as much as I know it was a blast for Kenley and she learned so very much and we she is awesome at it and we are amazed at her talent....we are screaming dancing YIPPPEEE!!!! Hoooray! A break. The last 3 weekends for February we were traveling, Galveston, New Orleans and then finished in Dallas. Those were some difficult trips with me being 8.5 months pregnant with Jaxon. Kenley's team worked really hard this year, and it was a growing year for them. They never gave up and put all their hard work on the mat each and every weekend. Their final performance in Dallas brought tears to our eyes. They executed it perfectly and they left their hearts on that mat. The dedication and hard work that she learns from cheer is shaping her into such a dynamic little being and for that we are grateful to Texas Cheer. The program that Sean Garland and Bryson Black are running is phenomenal. The coaches are wonderful and we appreciate so much that we are treated like family and not just a number. That is important to us and our family.

We are still waiting on Baby Boy Jaxon David to arrive here and join our family and complete it. He is being anticipated by so many...with the exception of Kenley. He made a pretty strong attempt to make it to the world on March 2, 2014 after we came in from Dallas....after a long weekend of cheer. I had to spend the night in the hospital and they calmed him down, a few days later he tried again...they settled him down. That time they were really serious, I was having contractions every minute and they were about to put in an epidural! We called my parents, who were at the lake, they came to Houston...and then the contractions stopped. I am really happy because he would have been a little early and it was scary!!! Now, Mr. Jax doesn't want to be born and it is making Mommy a little miserable. I just want to see my son! I am so anxious to look into his face. I am also anxious to soothe Kenley. She is uneasy about the arrival of her brother. I want her to see that life will be fine and she will love him. It is just such a special time, the waiting for a new baby. I am scheduled for a C-Section on March 31, 2014...unless I go into labor first, so we shall see.

Kenley had Spring Break last week and had an absolute ball. Our cousin Kae came in from Alaska with her husband Uncle Mike, and 3 kids Aurora 9, Derrick 7, and Dylan 5. They had an absolute ball. They went to the children's museum, they swam, they went to the rodeo, they played and they just enjoyed each other's company. They spend time together in the summer in Montana, so it was good for them to play here in Texas. Kenley finished up Spring Break with another trip to the Rodeo to see Maroon 5 with the Schott Family and a trip to Marty's sisters to ride horses. Today we went to the mall to pick up a belated birthday present for Spencer (who shares my March 6th birthday). I feel totally awful we didn't take care of that on time! Kenley wanted to get her the Leggo Friends Brave set...and off we went to get it! Spencer & Kenley have such a sweet friendship! They love each other so dearly and play together fabulously! I love to listen to their giggles.

Back to school tomorrow...Kenley has 18 more points to complete her Eagle Reader award for school, what an accomplishment it will be to see her earn that ribbon with her baby brother in the audience!!! I am going to be sooo proud of her! It's going to be an eventful next 2 months!

We pray for the families and friends of ours that are suffering with sick family members. Please know that we are thinking of you and your families. We love you all.

Thank you all for the love and support during the pregnancy of Jaxon and please keep them coming during his birth. We will obviously post on the blog his arrival!

May God bless and keep you all during the Lenten season.
