We headed to Montana on July 2 to make our rounds to visit our cousins, Aunts, Uncles, and Great-Grandmas. We saw more than usual this year. Grandma Benson passed away this April. So we gathered in the Flathead for a Memorial to remember the life of Mary Lou Benson. It was a wonderful gathering of family and friends. It also served as a reunion. Kenley spent time with her cousins. In all the years she has been spending summers in Montana she has always struggled with the temperature of the water. She faced her fear this summer. She jumped off the dock and swam in the approximately 68 degree water. I looked up a buoy and at 10 feet the water was 51 degrees. She was a brave little thing. She also kayaked, rode in the paddle boat, went 4-wheeling with her dad and shot her first gun.
Watched the fireworks in Butte with her cousins that were also in Montana from Alaska. We saw a beautiful rainbow after a small hail storm. We had a wonderful time and of course the scenery is amazing.
