Summer has started

We are currently on our last night in the Bahamas. We came for Garrett's 30th birthday bash. We brought Uncle Daniel, Uncle Ray (newly engaged to Aunt Meaghan who couldn't make due to her nursing school) and Chris Temple (who has worked with Garrett since I was pregnant with Kenley) and girlfriend Rachel. The boys did things together in the daytime and us girls did our thing during the day and we reunited during the evening.
The boys golfed we hung out at the beach. The boys went fishing, we swam with dolphins. We all went snorkeling. This was Kenley's first experience snorkeling so we weren't sure how it was going to go. We have been trying to get her to use her mask and snorkel in the pool at home but she hasn't been interested really. We didn't really tell her where we were going so there was no time for anxiety build up. Once we got there I put on my gear, as did everybody else, we put her stuff on minus her fins because we never located any small enough for her and pretty much tossed her in. This is sort of how Garrett and I do things that involve fear with her. It's kind of like "suck it up buttercup" you'll be fine. We were both in and captain Ross gave her the toss. We both grabbed her hands situated her mask gave a quick talk about breathing and said "put your face in" after that it was over. She started swimming around with all of us and never panicked and had a fabulous time. She got to see a stingray in the ocean, how amazing is that!!
The first day on the beach she played with a little girl from Belgium, Marine. Today, she and I spent the day at the beach and she met a girl from France, Laura.
Garrett had a wonderful birthday. He had a great fishing trip, we went to the casino twice. Kenley loves Gracie here in the Bahamas and I felt comfortable enough to leave her here two evenings while I joined the group out at Atlantis. They played Golf. They did the slides at Atlantis. We have had a wonderful vacation.
Now we have 4 work days until we leave for Montana!!
We hope all of you are having a joyful summer!
