Settling down...
That made things a little stressful, mostly because this house has white carpet! I was freaking out!! But our movers did really good, Nationwide movers are awesome!! If you are moving, call them!!
So far the dogs are happy! Mr. Emily is happy! Macy did have to go to the vet on Saturday, her Atopy is really bad. They gave her a long term steroid shot and it seems to be working. I like her new vet. Garrett of course saw $$$ and freaked out. She is kennel training and it is going well! Also, I'm giving her lots of treats when she goes potty outside! So far so good!
Kenley is really happy about the house. Her zebra bedding arrived today!
We got cable installed yesterday and we will have our first house guest on Saturday!
The drive has not been bad for me? I think I will adjust!
Here are a few photos of the chaos! Soon I will give you some finished products!

Work...Move...Work...Pack...Cheer
Tomorrow the movers will be here at 8am! I'm so excited! I can't sleep!
We are so worried about the next month. I will be carting Kenley from Spring to OSL on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. That is a little scary! It is quite a trot! She is by a morning person, not to mention those are cheer days! In addition I have been so busy at work and that cuts my days pretty short.
We also need prayer in regards to Macy. Garrett is very frustrated with her. We have hard time potty training her. She uses the bathroom inside to spite us. The new house has beautiful carpet and we are so worried. I am looking for her a home where the family is home all the time, but I'm also heart broken. I love her so much.
I will leave you with a picture of Kenley's pink room! She is getting Zebra sheets and a black Duvet! A Zebra room of sorts!! Similar to the one pictured!

We are home...we are moving
When we arrived in the Bahamas we spent the day relaxing in the pool and getting settled in. Kenley swam and played. We had dinner at home. The next day the boys played golf and Kenley and I hit the pool again! Once Daddy returned home, we went to the beach, but I already told you about that! We had a harbor boat cruise! Kenley loves the boat and is NOT prone to motion sickness! She is able to go up and down the boat ladder while in motion and while not, with no problem!
On Thursday we rested and Kenley hung out with Aunt Kendra and the girls! Which means Mommy rested. We had a welcome pizza party and met Mark's Mom and "Aunt" Charlotte who is his God Mother. What wonderful people. We are so happy to have then as a part of our family now! I was able to sleep every night! Stress free vacation I would say! Everybody gave advice to the about to be married couple. On Friday morning we went to the Dolphin encounter. Kenley has no fear. She did her first encounter when she was about 2. She got right in the water and hugged and kissed and danced with the dolphin and had a great time. We returned and she played in the bathtub while watching the Disney channel. She probably should have taken a nap. But oh well. She was pretty tired at the rehearsal dinner! We again toasted the couple. The couple has been toasted almost every-night, they are so loved. Garret was reminding Mark how happy he is to have gained a brother and a friend. I was happy to tell then how thankful I am that Mark had became such a wonderful Uncle to Kenley. The wedding was beautiful. Kendra looked stunning. Kenley dropped Kendra's ring during the ceremony, Tammara and I almost had a heart attack, but we quickly recovered it, ha!
We spent Sunday at Atlantis letting Kenley play at the water slides, she had a ball!
We returned on Monday. Garrett and I are now on our way to moving and back hard at work! Both of our days were crazy on Tuesday! Kenley had school and cheer and we found out she has a competition in Orlando this year at Disney World! We were wanting to go, so I guess we are going! Ha! Can't wait until we are in the new house!!

Well I can say that we are a family that may look like we are packed for the bahamas, but we will find out when we arrive if we are truly packed for the Bahamas.

Kenleys 5th Birthday!
Thursday, April 5, 2012

It has been a crazy world wind circus since Christmas in the Benson house hold! We went into the Christmas season knowing we were going to put our house on the market. We knew we wanted to move Kenley to Trinity Klein and knew we had to move to the Spring-Klein area. We priced our house on the high end of the price range expecting it to be on the market for a while thinking we would have until January until at least June to sell it and find a new home. Garrett and I spent 1 week cleaning the house and preparing it to go on the market. We left on New Years Eve to celebrate in Galveston with Somer and Mike and Gary and Cassi. Once we returned the Realtor, Dave Frost, called and said somebody wanted to see the house. We still had the middle bedroom stacked with misc. stuff that needed to be hauled to Gary and Cassi's...we quickly loaded it up and left. That was all she wrote...they wrote us a contract which we accepted...we sold it! At this point they told us we need to be out by Jan. 27th! That gave us not 1 weekend to pack and move because Miss Kenley had cheer competitions ever weekend in between the option period and the sale! In the middle of all this I got a staph infection and was basically useless! My brother-in-law to be Mark and Wilmer helped Garrett do everything! So at this point our stuff has been in storage and in the garage at my in-laws and we have been living at my in-laws since Jan. 25th.

Wife to Garrett, Mommy to Kenley & Jax, Aunt to Julie, Friend to who wants me, Daughter to Henry & Laura & Gary & Cassi, God-Mother to some of the cutest cuties Blakely and Casey. Insurance Agent to my lovely clients. I am working hard to raise my children to be all they can be, full of life, full of confidence, full of manners, full of love, showing God's love to others, being more than I am or can be...striving everyday to be a better person and it's not always easy!!
KENLEY PATRICIA BENSON started second grade this year at Trinity-Klein. She continues to cheer at Texas Lonestar Cheer and is in her fourth competitive year, she is on the Youth level 3 team. She has competitions all over the state this year and in Louisiana and California. Cheer practice and tumbling takes up a majority of her time, however she loves to spend time with her friends. She is enjoying Girl Scouts and all her friends. She still loves to ride in the golf cart, do her hair, she really like to play with her brother and Blakely. She enjoys traveling and got to go to Disney World this year, Montana, Louisiana, and had a great summer.
I can't imagine my life without her. She makes me laugh, she fills my heart with a joy I have never known and I enjoy watching her grow up. She is growing into such a beautiful soul.

Garrett graduated from the University of Houston in 2007 with a degree in Construction Management. He currently works at Baker Concrete as a Project Manager.
He is a sports fanatic. However, his love is Texans football and this takes up the majority of our fall and winter. He is an avid Texans tailgater. Every weekend there is a home game he is cooking and preparing for his time in the parking lot at Reliant Stadium. Fajitas, beer, washers, music and sausage are a few items you would find hanging out of the bed of his truck. He loves to hunt and is still continuing to fill our walls and our freezer.
Garrett finished up his job at EXXON in the Woodlands and is working in Midland, TX on a job for Chevron. Hopefully he'll be back home by November.
He is so happy to finally have a son. We welcomed Jaxon David into our family on March 31, 2014 and we, all three of us, are absolutely IN LOVE. ESPECIALLY DADDY!! He has his own personal Little Texan, who will grow into a big Texan.
Garrett loves his work and is a wonderful father and I could not ask for more. He works hard and his dedicated to our family. Being away is hard, but we are doing great, not to say it is without its hardships, but life isn't easy.
He reads stories to Kenley, takes and active role in her cheerleading, and helps in me in so many ways with her. I value his role as a father so much and I could not ask for a better partner in life or a father for her. They love each other dearly and that is so beautiful. He is so good with Jaxon and is such a great help. He has been on quite a few "man trips" lately...so he does owe me one or two...soon.

Garrett and I met at Lutheran High North in 1997. He came to North from Northwest Academy and I came from Our Savior. We started dating in in 1998 and the rest is history. We left Houston in 2001 after we graduted from Lutheran High North. Garrett went to University Texas and I went to Texas A&M. We spent many hours on the road between the two, to be fair it was Garrett who mostly did all the driving. We were married in September 2005 at the Fontenot Grand Mansion and welcomed Princess Kenley in April 2007 and Jaxon in March of 2014 (5 days shy of 7 years apart, by choice). We currently live in Klein, TX and will celebrate 9 years of marriage on the 10th of September.

Both Garrett and I grew up with dogs. Garrett had Boofer growing up and I had a host of dogs, one in particular was Autumn Marie, a Golden Retriever that went everywhere with my Dad. She could be found in the church parking lot, dropping me off at school or at a softball game.
In early 2005 I announced to Garrett that I wanted a Golden Retriever. He agreed and off to New Waverly we went and picked up a 3 month old pup, who shares my birthday of March 6. We chose her name while driving to pick her up, Brighton Marie. Yes, we got it from the home builder. She is very active and weighs around 80 pounds and firmly believes that she is a lap dog. She is very smart but many find it hard to love her. She is starting to calm down this days and is showing signs of her age. She has just a month and will beging a regime of "old lady" food. She is battling her skin lately it is not in agreement with all of the swimming she likes to do. She is aging around the eyes and after a long week at the lake with my parents her joints were worn out and she could barely get in the truck! Autumn lived to be in her teens...so I am hoping we have a long long life to live!!!
