Settling down...

We started moving in on Friday...the first load began at 8am and the second one began at noon...so did torrential downfall!! It rained and rained and rained and it did not stop raining!!!
That made things a little stressful, mostly because this house has white carpet! I was freaking out!! But our movers did really good, Nationwide movers are awesome!! If you are moving, call them!!
So far the dogs are happy! Mr. Emily is happy! Macy did have to go to the vet on Saturday, her Atopy is really bad. They gave her a long term steroid shot and it seems to be working. I like her new vet. Garrett of course saw $$$ and freaked out. She is kennel training and it is going well! Also, I'm giving her lots of treats when she goes potty outside! So far so good!
Kenley is really happy about the house. Her zebra bedding arrived today!
We got cable installed yesterday and we will have our first house guest on Saturday!
The drive has not been bad for me? I think I will adjust!
Here are a few photos of the chaos! Soon I will give you some finished products!

Work...Move...Work...Pack...Cheer

Garrett and I have been working so hard to get everything at our jobs in order! It's hard being gone for 6 days! Kenley just thinks school is something she does between vacations!! Every night this week we have taken loads from Holly View and taken them to the new house! Tuesday Norma took Kenley to cheer and Cherie and Summer brought her home and got to see the new house! Summer (little Summer), the girls were so happy to be reunited!! I was so happy to see my friend Cherie!! On Wednesday we took 2 loads and my sister and Somer came to visit and see the house!! Thursday night I worked until 9 and then sorted through the mail, changed the vehicle registration, our drivers licenses, and our mail again! Ashley took Kenley to cheer and Garrett picked her up. She had field day at school.
Tomorrow the movers will be here at 8am! I'm so excited! I can't sleep!
We are so worried about the next month. I will be carting Kenley from Spring to OSL on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. That is a little scary! It is quite a trot! She is by a morning person, not to mention those are cheer days! In addition I have been so busy at work and that cuts my days pretty short.
We also need prayer in regards to Macy. Garrett is very frustrated with her. We have hard time potty training her. She uses the bathroom inside to spite us. The new house has beautiful carpet and we are so worried. I am looking for her a home where the family is home all the time, but I'm also heart broken. I love her so much.
I will leave you with a picture of Kenley's pink room! She is getting Zebra sheets and a black Duvet! A Zebra room of sorts!! Similar to the one pictured!

We are home...we are moving

We arrived home on Monday and we are now moving!!
When we arrived in the Bahamas we spent the day relaxing in the pool and getting settled in. Kenley swam and played. We had dinner at home. The next day the boys played golf and Kenley and I hit the pool again! Once Daddy returned home, we went to the beach, but I already told you about that! We had a harbor boat cruise! Kenley loves the boat and is NOT prone to motion sickness! She is able to go up and down the boat ladder while in motion and while not, with no problem!
On Thursday we rested and Kenley hung out with Aunt Kendra and the girls! Which means Mommy rested. We had a welcome pizza party and met Mark's Mom and "Aunt" Charlotte who is his God Mother. What wonderful people. We are so happy to have then as a part of our family now! I was able to sleep every night! Stress free vacation I would say! Everybody gave advice to the about to be married couple. On Friday morning we went to the Dolphin encounter. Kenley has no fear. She did her first encounter when she was about 2. She got right in the water and hugged and kissed and danced with the dolphin and had a great time. We returned and she played in the bathtub while watching the Disney channel. She probably should have taken a nap. But oh well. She was pretty tired at the rehearsal dinner! We again toasted the couple. The couple has been toasted almost every-night, they are so loved. Garret was reminding Mark how happy he is to have gained a brother and a friend. I was happy to tell then how thankful I am that Mark had became such a wonderful Uncle to Kenley. The wedding was beautiful. Kendra looked stunning. Kenley dropped Kendra's ring during the ceremony, Tammara and I almost had a heart attack, but we quickly recovered it, ha!
We spent Sunday at Atlantis letting Kenley play at the water slides, she had a ball!
We returned on Monday. Garrett and I are now on our way to moving and back hard at work! Both of our days were crazy on Tuesday! Kenley had school and cheer and we found out she has a competition in Orlando this year at Disney World! We were wanting to go, so I guess we are going! Ha! Can't wait until we are in the new house!!

Big Huge gigantic day! Huge day! We have officially made a land mark! Kenley swam in the ocean today. Her swimming skills served her so well. I don't worry at all when she is swimming. She rode in the boat and climbed up and down on that boat up and down! How amazingly we are being blessed!

Well I can say that we are a family that may look like we are packed for the bahamas, but we will find out when we arrive if we are truly packed for the Bahamas.
We had a great Easter at Debra and Jeff's house. Wonderful food and family! Kenley had her first swims this weekend! The lake, Debra and Jeff, and at our new house! We took my parents over after Easter and she went swimming!
Both of our parents have seen the house and we are excited to move in when we return!
Can't wait to get back and share pictures of Kendra's wedding!

Through the years....

Kenleys 5th Birthday!

We celebrated Kenley's 5th birthday last night at Fu's Garden! The first restaurant she ever went to as a baby! Her birthday fell on Good Friday this year, just like the day she was born! 5:54 p.m. Garrett and I's world changed forever! She is the love of our life! What a blessing God gave us that Good Friday! What a wonderful five years it has been and looking forward to so many many more! Today we went to the new house again and we heard her say, "I love you house" we are being so blessed! There is joy in every second, just stop and find it! We can't wait to watch Kendra marry the love of her life this week!

Kenley came into this world on April 6, 2007 an unusually cold Good Friday. This year again on April 6, 2012 her birthday again, falls on Good Friday. We already had her a party at the Houston Zoo. She had a ton of friends there. Her Uncle Mark and Uncle Mike helped Daddy do so much work!!! Aunt Shelly and Tia Princess were there and Nana and Papa too! She had a special birthday dinner with her best friend with Summer too. Also we will have a get together with family again on Friday, this child thinks birthday parties go forever!!!!
Our camera has been broken and so there will be picture over load. Uncle Mike and Tia Princess took pictures, they are on facebook if you want to check them out! Here are a few!
Also, at Cheer Banquet Kenley won Golden Diva. That is the award for the best performer! Very exciting!
Here is the Golden Diva award!

It has been a crazy world wind circus since Christmas in the Benson house hold! We went into the Christmas season knowing we were going to put our house on the market. We knew we wanted to move Kenley to Trinity Klein and knew we had to move to the Spring-Klein area. We priced our house on the high end of the price range expecting it to be on the market for a while thinking we would have until January until at least June to sell it and find a new home. Garrett and I spent 1 week cleaning the house and preparing it to go on the market. We left on New Years Eve to celebrate in Galveston with Somer and Mike and Gary and Cassi. Once we returned the Realtor, Dave Frost, called and said somebody wanted to see the house. We still had the middle bedroom stacked with misc. stuff that needed to be hauled to Gary and Cassi's...we quickly loaded it up and left. That was all she wrote...they wrote us a contract which we accepted...we sold it! At this point they told us we need to be out by Jan. 27th! That gave us not 1 weekend to pack and move because Miss Kenley had cheer competitions ever weekend in between the option period and the sale! In the middle of all this I got a staph infection and was basically useless! My brother-in-law to be Mark and Wilmer helped Garrett do everything! So at this point our stuff has been in storage and in the garage at my in-laws and we have been living at my in-laws since Jan. 25th.

We said goodbye to 4415 Rosebay the place we brought Kenley home from the hospital and the place she learned how to walk and talk and it there were a lot of memories. However, it is so time for us to start over. A lot of family unit lines were crossed at Rosebay and we are soooo happy to start over at our new home and keep our family unit tight and make this all about Garrett, Wendy and Kenley. Once we said goodbye to Rosebay, we had a new challenge of finding a new home! Boy this was hard! It took a while. We had made a decision that we would not make a purchase on any house we both did not agree with completely...so we did make a contract on something and thank God that did not work out.
In between all this Rodeo happened and Kenley went to Montana for 8 days, there was a huge meltdown at my work, Kenley won a National Championship...now that is what we need to talk about!
You all know that Kenley has been cheerleading for 2 years now and it is a big, HUGE part of this family!!! We are in practice about 4 times per week! She is dedicated and so are we as a family. Her team the Texas Teeny Tinys (Texas Cheer Tiny Level 1) had been battling all year for 1st place with Woodlands Elite and Prodigy. We won 1st place twice and they would win and it would just rotate and you would just never know. If we did not get 1st we got 2nd, I think with the exception for the very first competition. NCA competition rolled around and that is the "Superbowl of Cheerleading" Karrie, Jason and Emma Looney, Cannon and Melinda came out to see her compete. Of course her Daddy and I were there. The Tiny's competed on Saturday, we left and were in 3rd place, not where we wanted to be. Our coach called a practice that Saturday night. The girls were so determined they practiced so hard...the next day they put the best performance we had ever seen...and they won!!! They moved from 3rd to 1st!!!!
We are now preparing to move into our new home...after we return to Kendra and Mark's wedding in the Bahamas.
Somer is expecting a baby in June. We are so excited and happy. Melinda and Cannon are getting married in September so the show will keep moving on! Kenley moved up to Mini 1 on Texas Cheer. It will be a grueling year and working hard!
